This event encourages and introduces opportunities to women that could help get them more involved in STEM! It represents women's contributions to STEM and promotes gender equality. It's helping break the gender-gap in education and work environments.
The FNC President Marie Hopper reached out to our team and invited all the girls on our team to come volunteer at the Women In Tech event! Here they helped run the First Robotics stand, explaining to people what First is, how the efforts of volunteers make the robotics competitions possible, and how they can help out! It's important to bring more women into a place where they are considered minorities, and to get more women involved in STEM related things.
