David “Coach” Henry
In 2022, Coach Henry helped revive the Topsail High School robotics team, now known as the BOGO Bots. Drawing on his background as a basketball coach, he brings a strong sense of motivation, teamwork, and leadership that sets the team apart from many others.
Although robotics was a new field for him, Coach has learned everything he knows directly from the students, embodying the team’s spirit of curiosity and growth. But his role goes far beyond just “driving the bus.” Coach Henry is deeply involved in every aspect of the team — from advising students and recruiting mentors to registering for competitions, managing parts and logistics, and working late nights alongside the team during the competition season.
