Jones 4 is our team’s 2026 Rebuilt Competition robot. In this game, robots had to shoot yellow balls called fuel into a hub. They could also climb a ladder-like structure that awarded bonus points. We wanted simplicity and efficiency with our design. As a result, we built an extremely large robot, one of the largest in NC, to maximize fuel capacity equipped with a wide shooter to maximize shooting speed. We thought about doing a turret and an adjustable shooter, but we realized that it would be too complex for our team. This was the first year we alliance captained as we captained alliances 4 and 3 in the Elon University and UNC Pembroke events respectively.
